Corniness aside, every character and interactions between characters all seem heartfelt (as opposed to manufactured) - a precious quality nowhere to be found in post-10s superhero films. A completely self-made, plebeian spider-man carries much more moral as well as emotional weight that is bound to leave an imprint on people's memory than any flamboyant fancy-pants superheroes that we have now.
